Leeds United star Archie Gray has been voted the Championship's young player of the season and this is a talent who has got 'that nasty side' when he crosses the white line

Taking just five minutes to score for England under-21s. Being named the Championship's young player of the season. It's all impressive stuff, but converting a Sheffield United fan? That might be Archie Gray 's greatest achievement yet.
There is a reason why Pass still looks out for Gray from afar. In Pass' own words, this former pupil remains a 'fantastic role model for all the kids that we have in the school'. Not only for his ability, but, also, his character. Gray, according to former team-mate Max Dean, was even the 'best player on the pitch' when he came up against grown men at Tranmere in the EFL Trophy on a night Leeds under-21s lost 4-1. Dean, who is blossoming, himself, at MK Dons, never forgot how Gray was 'always smiling' off the pitch but that changed when he crossed the white line. This was a player who had 'no fear at all'.
That same family background has helped keep Gray grounded even if that is in his natural make-up, anyway. The 18-year-old, after all, never gets ahead of himself and is the first to admit that he never expected to play such a pivotal role for the first team this season. Remarkably, only Ethan Ampadu has made more appearances under Daniel Farke.
