will be the first animated link to the DC Extended Universe. Executive produced by James Wan, the three-part series will serve as a continuation of 2018's, which starred Jason Momoa in the titular role. While the HBO Max series will carry on with what was established in the film, the animation will be a standalone.will follow Arthur Curry as he assumes his responsibilities as the ruler of his underwater kingdom.

Aquaman will have two royal advisors to aid in his transition into the king of Atlantis – Vulko, the scholar, and Mera, the water controlling warrior-princess.
