Apple announced a coming integration with OpenAI this morning at its Worldwide Developer Conference which will bring the generative AI power of ChatGPT to Siri with both a free and paid level of experience.
This will work in photos and documents, Apple said, and will answer questions, providing writing support, and more. Apple Intelligence, however, may be limited to specific devices as well as specific versions of iOS, iPadOS and MacOS. Apple said that it would be available on iPhone 15 Pro, MacBook Pro, and iPad, which could be due to high compute requirements for these intensive AI operations.
