Gardaí are investigating after Sam Ewing and Jack Kennedy were the victims of an early-morning attack in the middle of Naas
Gardaí are hunting a gang of thugs who attacked two talented Irish jockeys – days after they starred at Cheltenham. The Irish Mirror has established that Jack Kennedy and Sam Ewing were attacked in the centre of Naas, Co Kildare early last Monday morning.
It’s understood comments were made to the men about their performances at the festival – even though both rode winners.“There were ridiculous comments made about Cheltenham,” a source said. Sources say Mr Kennedy, who is 25 and a native of Co Kerry, rushed to his pal’s assistance – and he was also attacked.
Gardaí last night confirmed that an assault was being investigated and said no arrests had been made.
