Earlier today, a labor coalition representing 24 million workers, including Rideshare Drivers United , harshly condemned Cuellar for proposing the bill. In a statement, the Worker Power Coalition called the WFCA “an anti-worker proposal intended to further endanger already vulnerable gig economy workers” and “an attempt by Rep. Henry Cuellar and multibillion dollar corporations to bring Silicon Valley’s union-busting playbook to the federal stage.
