This look differs quite a bit from the final design used in the movie, opting for a fuller suit that seems to fully encapsulate MODOK’s head and body. The villain’s face seems to be in a tank of liquid rather than covered by a retractable mask, and some of his limbs are slightly more elongated. In the image’s caption, Briclot explained that the design is the result of “quantum geysers” that aged, de-aged, and transformed Darren Cross, with the artist hinting that David Cronenberg’smay have influenced the art a bit.
