Amazon has slashed the price of its Echo Flex to under a fiver. And it's said to rival the Echo Dot and Pop.
The £4.99 Echo Flex is a smart speaker that plugs into any standard outlet. It can play music as well as taking commands and connecting to Alexa-enabled home devices like lightbulbs and kettles. You can also charge your phone or add an optional third-party accessory like a night light or motion sensor to the smart speaker, according to MEN.
A second said: "This is really useful. I wasn't sure about getting one of these rather than another Echo but it is perfect for adding all the Alexa functionality in our lounge where we don't need a high-end speaker for an interface for the lights or the TV. Easy to set up and works perfectly. At the discount price it is a total no-brainer. Really pleased we got it."
One reviewer only gave the Echo Flex a three-star rating because the speaker struggled to pick up voices over background kitchen noise. They said: "It is ok but the volume is quite low. I have it in the kitchen but I struggle to hear it's responses or hold a conversation with the background noise from the kitchen."
