Amanda Holden appeared on Blind Date with Cilla Black when she was just 19 years old - and has now given a very firm response when asked if she might host a new series
Amanda Holden has been the presenting face of many a TV show over the years, and with talk of a possible return of the iconic dating show Blind Date, her name has been thrown in the ring.
On Wednesday, 17 April, Amanda, who was a contestant on the show when she was just 19, was asked about whether she wanted to become the new Cilla in a segment on Good Morning Britain with Richard Arnold, reports the Express. In response to Richard's question at a press event for Britain's Got Talent, which returns this week, she said: "What? ! No, no, no, no no! I love that show. It would be perfect for me wouldn't it? But I'm not doing it."
But despite seeming to rule herself out as the person to take the baton, Amanda did then turn to Simon Cowell and say: "Let's host it together, can you imagine?".
