“When I saw Trinity in that subject line, I had to call my husband over,” Beasley said. “And I said, ‘I think we should look at this one.’” “I’m very interested in how we are manifesting a core belief of opportunity for all, and I mean all,” she said. “You can think about that; how many other higher education institutions have that many female leaders? And I would say — modestly, not because that was the goal, to get just many female leaders — the goal was to get the best person for the job.”
