Nothing beats wrapping up warm and heading out to a local display to watch the fireworks and enjoy some time with friends and family
Remember, remember, the fifth of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot. November 5th, also known as Bonfire Night, or Guy Fawkes Night, is a celebration and commemoration of an event that first took place on the 5th of November in 1605.
Many events are free, but donations are gratefully appreciated as the money raised often goes towards putting the same event on in the following year. An organised display is safer, cheaper and much more fun than doing fireworks at home, we've rounded up as many displays taking place across our county this year. When – November 4, 2023, show starts 6:30 pm, bonfire 7pmIt will be the 34th Fireshow event. Previous events were staged by Carlisle City Council.
