The Canadian isn't wanting his Parkhead pal sold on the cheap as he joked with transfer guru Romano on social media.
Greedy Alistair Johnston has stuck his own transfer valuation on top Celtic star Matt O'Riley, and it's a chunk of change.
The Danish midfielder has been taking all the plaudits in recent weeks after Man of the Match performances in league and Champions League action and an impressive tally of six goals and four assists so far this season for Brendan Rodgers' men.
And transfer guru Fabrizio Romano highlighted the meteoric rise on X, claiming that any potential transfer suitors would have to break the Scottish record fee to sign the former MK Dons man. Celtic got their man man tied down to a fresh deal in September, confirming O'Riley's status until 2027 at Parkhead.
But should that transfer resolve be tested, Canadian defender Johnston reckons it's £50m and no less for the star man. Ironically it was a star emoji that Romano commented on O'Riley's post on Instagram that was captioned: "All to play for," with the midfielder holding his Man of the Match award." Johnston went straight to the replies with Romano simply told: "£50m +", while goalscorer Luis Palma commented: "What a player."
