“I haven’t slept since the night my father was attacked,” Alexandra Pelosi admitted, adding that entire family bears emotional scars from the incident. The Pelosi scion also accused Republicans of making light of the assault on her father, which took place during the heated final days before the Nov. 8 midterm elections.
“I don’t care who you are and who you vote for. Nobody should think it is funny that an 82-year-old man got attacked in the middle of the night,” she said. “And yet, like, a sitting governor and a wannabe governor and members of Congress were laughing about it.”Although Alexandra Pelosi avoided mentioning specific names, she seemed to be alluding in part to Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, whoafter joking about her husband’s injuries during a campaign speech hours after the attack.
