Caretaker Alex Cleland reckons there is more than enough talent in the group for the next St Johnstone manager to work with - and to help haul them up the table.
Cleland, no stranger to stepping into the hotseat, said: “Am I confident we can get out of it? Yeah, I am. “That’s what we have to aim to do. You have to stay positive and try to get some momentum because it’s huge in football.“It hasn’t been a great start, we know that, but there are a lot of games to go and the job of the new manager will be to turn that around.
“All I will say to them is what’s happened has happened, but we have more games and look forward to this one. We have to go into it with a positive mindset.”
