Aldi's latest Specialbuys include a new home fragrance collection - and its being compared to a designer scent
Aldi is selling a new range of candles that are said to smell just like a designer version - but cost much less. The budget retailer is introducing a new home fragrance collection from this weekend as part of its weekly Specialbuys.
Popular Aldi perfume, Cardinal Red, has been given the candle and diffuser treatment by the retailer. Two more scents are also set to become available after this weekend. The Hotel Collection Classic Rouge home fragrances will be priced at £4.99 in stores from July 25. According to Aldi, the products are inspired by "TikTok trends of woody and floral aromas", and each candle and diffuser "boasts a melody of luxurious natural scents."
The candles look similar to the Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris Baccarat Rouge 540 candle, both featuring a white glass jar and gold lid, though the designer version also has red branding on the front while the Aldi version does not. The Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris Baccarat Rouge 540 candle is currently priced at £95, while Aldi's range starts from £4.99. This means shoppers could save around £90 by opting for the bargain alternative.The products won’t be around for long and as with all Specialbuys - once they’re gone, they’re gone. That means you'll have to be quick if you fancy snapping the new range up in stores.
