He could be returning to football
Former Notts County owner Alan Hardy is reportedly interested in purchasing Scunthorpe United. The club, who are currently sitting at the bottom of the National League table, have been served a winding-up petition by the HMRC.
On Twitter, he has responded to reports and questions from Irons fans on what his intentions are with the club. He tweeted: "All Clubs should drive towards a business model of self sustainability, even PL [Premier League] clubs. The days of multiple billionaire owners should be outlawed in my opinion. Their priorities are skewed & not in the best interests of the fans & communities. So all options considered for the club.
