OAKLAND — Alameda County prosecutors have charged an Oakland man with murdering a woman who had previously taken a restraining order against him due to a prior domestic violence incident, court records show.
Jail records around the Bay Area indicate Bell remains out of custody. He has had an active murder arrest warrant since March, but the charges weren’t filed until Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. Early in the investigation, police discovered Mabery had obtained a restraining order against Bell over an act of domestic violence that occurred in San Francisco County, authorities said. He was arrested in June 2022 on suspicion of domestic violence and making criminal threats, records show.
