According to police, officers were called to Bill’s Place, 517 N. Main St., at about 1:45 p.m. Saturday, where they were met by the 22-year-old victim. The woman told officers that she was in a relationship with the male suspect, Daixhan Tolbert, 23. When police arrived, witnesses directed them to Jesse Avenue, where Tolbert was seen running. Tolbert reportedly ignored orders to stop and went to a home on the 400 block of Butler Street, beginning a standoff with police.
