Eric Pursley, 23, will be eligible for parole after serving 18 years for the 2022 slaying of Daniel Stein, 58, of Studio City, Calif.
, according to a news release from Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh. A jury found Pursley guilty of murder and two counts of felonious assault.
According to prosecutors, Stein owned several rental properties in the Akron area. On Oct. 5, 2022, Stein went to a property on Sumner Street in Akron that was being leased by Pursley, who was several months behind on his rent.“Daniel Stein was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, and friend,” Walsh said in a statement. “We all grieve at the loss of a man who gave so much to our community.
