Airbnb saw a return to U.S. bookings growth in early June, signaling a rebound for the sharing economy start-up as people start to venture out after the coronavirus lockdown.
Airbnb said early June bookings in the U.S. grew on an annualized basis for the first time since February after states began loosening the travel restrictions put in place to stop the spread of Covid-19.
The start-up's $30-billion-plus equity valuation has been cut dramatically, but it could emerge in a post-Covid world as a preferred vacation option to hotels, investors say.An Airbnb on the island of Santorini, in Greece.
