He was like, `Do you even know what this means?’ He was bawling,” Shiffrin said. “I was like, `Dad, you’re more excited about this than you are for me.’ And that’s saying something!”Diggins begins competition at the Beijing Olympics on Saturday with the skiathlon, which combines classic and freestyle skiing.
