Robert Swan Passes Away, Hoosiers & The Untouchables Actor was 78
His death was confirmed by a family friend . Swan’s more notable roles in acting came in classic films like the 1987 Brian De Palma-directed The Untouchables, which saw Swan appear as a Mountie captain.
Swan would also appear in the 1994 film Natural Born Killers, as well as The Dollmaker and the 1986 sports classic Hoosiers. Other credits for the actor includeOutside of his career in Hollywood, Swan was also an avid lover of theater, and acted in a number of plays in Chicago.
Swan was the founder of the Michigan-based Harbor Country Opera, an opera house that continues to operate to this day.
