It all happened after noon Friday.
WALNUT CREEK —- Students were set to be dismissed early from Las Lomas High on Friday after police and Contra Costa County sheriff’s deputies raced to the scene on unsubstantiated reports that an active shooter was on campus.
Walnut Creek police Lt. Holley Connors emphasized in a 1:09 p.m. email that none of the reports were substantiated and that there was no evidence of any shooter having been on campus.Police told parents at the school that the scene was clear, and that students were set to be released through the main entrance after teachers took attendance.
It marked the second day in a row a Contra Costa County school endured a threat and had to send students home early.Please check back for updates.
