A MAJOR Scottish airport has ditched a long-standing rule about the amount of liquid products allowed in carry-on luggage.
Passengers can now carry more than 100ml bottles on board with them as they travel from Aberdeen International as new scanners come into operation.However, the Next Generation Security Checkpoint scanners have led to some airports – including London City and Teeside – already scrapping the rule which often means toiletries and other liquids have to be thrown away before security checks.
The new scanners will also mean electronic items such as laptops and other devices do not need to be taken out of bags. “We are well ahead of the deadline set by the Government thanks to all the hard work from our staff and contractors.
