In a sneak peek of the upcoming season, the singer and former child star sobs in front of mom Jane, Drs. Ish and V, and his housemates in an exercise called "Guilt Trip," saying he felt like he "had been responsible" for the deaths of his sister, Leslie, and his father, Bob.
Leslie died in 2012 at the age of 25 after a drug overdose, and Bob died in 2017 at the age of 65 following a heart attack. "I felt like I had been responsible for the death of my sister, for the death of my dad, for my family falling apart," Aaron said to the doctors, as Jane looked at her son with tears in her eyes.
"I think that that's one of the things that hurts Aaron the most," she later said during a confessional. "He just was so busy with his own life that he wasn't there, and I think he wanted to be there for them. In his heart, he feels like he could've done something more." Dr. Ish assured Aaron that "none of it" was his fault, while Dr. V asked if he wanted a hug. "Sure," he blubbered as he lunged into her arms.
