A section of the A52 has been closed after three cars were involved in a collision. Police have closed the westbound carriageway between Barrowash in Derbyshire and M1 junction 25, near Stapleford.
Derbyshire Police said the road could be closed "for some time" and told motorists to find alternative routes. The collision was first reported at 6.30pm on Friday, March 10. "The A52 westbound between M1 J25 and Borrowash is closed due to a three car crash," said Derbyshire Police on Twitter. "Emergency services are in the area and dealing with the scene.
"The road could be closed for some time to allow for recovery, so please find alternative routes and allow extra time for journeys." Traffic monitoring site Inrix reads: "A52 Brian Clough Way Westbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident, three cars involved between M1 J25 and the Borrowash turn off .
"The road is closed following an accident first reported at around 18:30. Affecting traffic between Nottingham and Derby."
