Juan Rodriguez, a Department of Labor spokesman, said the investigation took place between June 2019 and April 2021. The probe included all five of the restaurant's locations.Out of the 910 employees, only about 219 were found and paid directly by Hard Eight BBQ, Rodriguez said. The company gave the Department of Labor the rest of the funds to find the remaining employees. The department is in the process of locating them.
