The fifth novel in Ms. Meyer’s young-adult vampire series goes on sale this Tuesday, 12 years after her unfinished “Midnight Sun” manuscript leaked online. After the breach, when a rough draft of part of the book spread across the internet, Ms. Meyer stopped writing. Readers worried that the novel, which retells “Twilight” from vampire Edward’s point of view, might never emerge.
