This year, a lovely autumn in Ohio offers a horn of plenty for its sports fans to enjoy

Here’s a good bet:They probably need one more victory to punch their ticket and three points will be in the offing in their home finale, against Chicago in TQL Stadium Saturday night.
Did you see the Cleveland Guardians clinched the American League Central title Sunday night? The Guards, as my Cleveland correspondent calls them, are the youngest team in the league. They’re much younger, on average, than my 30-year-old Cleveland correspondent.The Cavaliers opened training camp this week. The Cavs, who made it into the play-in round of the playoffs last season, may once again be the youngest team in the NBA.
The top five in the East, in some order: Boston, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Miami, Cleveland. Discuss. The Cavs’ season opener is Oct. 19. This being Ohio, the birthplace of pro football, we have to mention the Browns and the Bengals. The Browns are 2-1. How often have they been 2-1 this century? It’s a blessing. The Bengals are 2-2, but the defending AFC champions are not a 2-2 team. If somebody blocks for Joe Burrow, they'll be fine.
