However, Gunn is a writer who is constantly rewriting and adding to his scripts. Gunn never stopped working on Superman: Legacy, as he was still working as the film's director and was deep into pre-production. With the strike ending, he is now freer to craft the story.
4 Gladiator 2 Ridley Scott's long-awaited sequel to his Best Picture-winning Gladiator was halfway through filming when SAG went on strike, halting production entirely. The studio has been eager to make a Gladiator sequel for decades, and now that the Paul Mescal-led film is actually happening, it is making it a priority after the strikes. While production had already started, rewrites are common for films of this scale.
