The victim was then transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition by responding medics, according to the release. She is in stable condition following surgery. The suspect, Torrence Ahart, 28, of Reynoldsburg, was still on scene when responding officers arrived, and was taken into custody without incident, according to a release. He has been charged with felonious assault. According to court documents, Ahart admitted to using the gun after seeing his sister cut, telling police he felt he needed to fire a warning shot to stop the fight.
