BREAKING 6 suspects, ages 11-14, now in custody after woman brutally attacked in Center City
Police say five of those suspects surrendered, while the sixth suspect - a 14-year-old female - was arrested at her home.Investigators say there is a warrant out for another 14-year-old female, and they are still working to identify a juvenile male suspect.A 34-year-old woman was knocked down and beaten unconscious by a group of young people at 15th and Chestnut streets.
On Thursday night, police said they had identified seven of the eight teens and the Philadelphia District Attorney's office approved charges for their arrests. Police said they are still working to identify the eighth suspect and take the additional suspects into custody.The assault happened just after 7 p.m. on February 23. A 34-year-old woman was knocked down and beaten by a group of young people at 15th and Chestnut streets.
"For eight kids to completely just take away any sort of comfort that I feel walking down the street, it just makes me sick," the woman said in an interview with Action News.
