The skinny:RB Ahmari Williams led the Hoover ground game with 131 yards, including a 27-yard scoring run, on 17 carries while Lamarion McCammon added 34 yards on 7 carries. QB Brewer Smith completed 7-of-16 passes for 53 yards and freshman Jonah Winston was 5 of 8 for 29 yards. WR KJ Law was the top target with 5 catches for 35 yards. DL Andrew Parrish and DB Jay Avery led the defense with 7 tackles each while DB DJ Estes added 6 stops and LB Bradley Shaw had 5.
Hueytown QB Earl Woods is a threat from anywhere on the field while RBs Jakhael Rowser and Derrick Davis head the attack on the ground. Braden Northcutt is the bell cow on the OL. Derrico King and Keith Green are strong at DL while Noah Eskridge is a stopper at LB. Jakilyn Jones handled the last line of defense at DB.
Pinson Valley QB Keywone Posey was 15-of-28 passing for 313 yards and 3 TDs last week while Virginia commit Amare Thomas caught 8 passes for 119 yards and 2 scores and Taurus Chambers added 3 catches for 84 yards and a TD. DB TJ Metcalf is an Arkansas commit while brother and ATH Tevis has loads of offers.
