Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), together with Little Hammy Rescue Singapore (LHRS) and Hamster Society Singapore (HSS), have rescued 48 hamsters from a hoarder. Many of the hamsters were kept together in small cages and poor conditions. LHRS reported that the rescued hamsters had fight wounds and bite marks. Half of the rescued hamsters went to SPCA for immediate medical attention, while the other 24 are with LHRS and HSS. Fosterers are needed to provide temporary homes and care for the hamsters until they find permanent homes.
