The Disgraceland podcast is heading to TV
, after Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment acquired the right's to host/creator Jake Brennan's show, the trio ofcreator-executive producer Callie Khouri, producer Michael Lohmann and Brennan are slated to write the TV version, with“I was weary of trying to adaptinto a television show for a long while. Then Callie, Lohmann, and T Bone came into the meeting with a vision for how to adapt it that blew me away," Brennan tells.
The series, which Brennan launched independently in 2018 -- before getting picked up by iHeartRadio in 2019 -- will be taken to premium cable and the streaming marketplace soon, according tohas been downloaded more than 30 million times, with season 5 launching earlier this week with an episode on GNR.
