STOCK - Dallas Police car Police car Flashing lights Police tape Stock Fire truck DFD DPDDallas police said a man turned himself in to law enforcement in connection with thePolice said 33-year-old Shelby Jackson turned himself in to Dallas police headquarters Thursday and faces one charge of murder. He was booked into Dallas County Jail and his bail is set at $1.25 million.
It was unclear if he has an attorney to represent him in the murder case. According to court records, Jackson also faces an assault charge. An attorney listed in court records for the assault charge did not respond to a request for comment.Officers responded to the 2500 block of Perryton Drive, off of South Hampton road about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. The victim, 40-year-old Geoffrey Jones was transported to the hospital where he died.
