The girl reportedly left a house on Madrid Drive around 9:30 a.m. The sheriff's office says there were other children in the house at the time, so the girl's disappearance was not immediately noticed by the mother. According to the sheriff's office, the house is next to Alum Creek where the girl fell in. The current was strong at the time she fell in, the sheriff’s office added.
Blendon Township Police Department officers got the girl out of the creek and attempted CPR.
