About 11:22 p.m., a woman told police she was closing down a restaurant in the 2500 block of West Lawrence Avenue when a male entered the business and demanded money from the cash register. She complied and the robber fled the scene, police said.Three minutes after the Lawrence Avenue robbery, a 33-year-old man was robbed while he was closing down a bar in the 4700 block of North Rockwell Street.
About 11:26 p.m., two armed males entered a liquor store in the 2500 block of West North Avenue and demanded money from the clerk before fleeing, police said.There was no information immediately available linking the robberies, but detectives were investigating.
