An FBI agent, a member of the Montgomery County bomb unit and a Pennsylvania state trooper were injured.
The news station said that the accident happened at about 9:50 a.m. during an exercise at SCI Phoenix prison in Skippack Township with members of the FBI and ATF.
Sources told WPVI that an FBI agent, a member of the Montgomery County bomb unit and a Pennsylvania state trooper were injured. “Staff from the Montgomery County Bomb Squad were installing an explosive device for a later class when it prematurely exploded,” according to a statement from a spokesperson.SCENE FROM CHOPPER 6: Training exercise at the SCI Phoenix Prison grounds at 10 this morning with the Bomb Squad. Not clear what happened during that training - but chopper six does have at least TWO medical helicopters at the scene.
