Nowadays there is seemingly no shortage of smart skincare launches promising miraculous-sounding results, from turning back the clock on signs of ageing to delivering a glow like that from a professional facial.
To put this claim to the test, we sent the L’Oréal cream out to 41 of our Beauty Edit testers and asked them to record any changes in their skin, both after 10 days and after four weeks of using it. It should be noted that, as with any retinol product, it’s important to read the instructions on the box carefully before using this face cream. If you’re new to using retinol, build up your tolerance gradually and always use an SPF30+ in the mornings, as it can make skin more sensitive to the sun.
“I love the press-and-pump dispenser – it gives out just the right amount and is very hygienic. After about day five I really noticed a difference – lines looked reduced, and my skin felt refreshed and plumper in the morning. I also have some pigmentation which has definitely faded, which I’m very happy about. I was considering Botox for the fine lines around my eye area, but since using this cream I was told that I don't need it.
