Voters across Ohio discussed their most important election issues during the 2022 midterms.Mike DeWine is running in what is likely his last election after a long career in public service.Polls have shown DeWine with a big lead throughout the campaignto win reelection over his Democratic challenger, former Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley.

While voters' top issues are the economy and inflation, DeWine, 75, hopes to fend off any surge from Democratic voters who oppose his position on abortion. The Republican governor signed Ohio's six-week abortion ban, which dramatically reduced access to the procedure before a judge placed it on hold. The law went into effect after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June.
