As the NCAA men’s college basketball regular season turns the page to March Madness, casual fans are starting to think more about the NBA draft.
Within each tier, I have also included a “player spotlight” for someone in that grouping that has especially caught my attention of late. Otherwise, courtesy of Bart Torvik and Hoop-Math, I included some data that may help illustrate the playing style of each individual who plays at the NCAA level. Williams has assisted on 70 3-pointers so far this season, per Hoop-Math, which is more than nearly every other player expected to declare for the draft. When compared to other perimeter players, meanwhile, he is the most productive self-creator at the rim. He is crafty enough as a scorer that almost three-quarters of his shots at the rim are unassisted.
