Thousands of runners took to the streets of Manchester on Sunday
Thousands of runners trekked across the streets of Manchester's city centre today as part of the annual Manchester Marathon.
The first person to make it past the finish line was Adam Clarke who snagged an impressive time of two hours, 16 minutes, and 29 seconds. He was closely followed by Marshall Smith at 2:18:22 and Tueten at 2:18:37. Charlie Arnell was the first woman through the finish line with a time of 2:37:12, an even more impressive time after she revealed it was her first-ever marathon. Charlie told the M.E.N. “I’ve just heard very good things about the Manchester Marathon - it’s the second biggest marathon in the UK - so it was something I really wanted to take part in.
