STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — Two young males are dead and a teen girl was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, police say.
Davion Flanagan, 19, and Dominic Russo, 20, both were pronounced dead at the scene after the crash at the intersection of Progress and Alameda drives, according to police. A 17-year-old girl was flown by helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center.all three are recent graduates of Strongsville High School, with Flanagan and the teen girl graduating in the spring.
Police say the crash occurred at about 6:15 a.m. All three victims were unconscious and trapped in the heavily damaged Toyota Camry when rescuers arrived and had to be freed from the vehicle, police say. According to WJW, police believe the teen girl was driving and that speed was a factor in the crash. Police tell WJW the car didn’t stop at the end of Progress Drive, went across a lawn of the business, hit a sign and then crashed into a building in the Progress Drive Business Park.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
