The crash involving a MiG-23 demonstration occurred just after 4 p.m. during the Yankee Air Museum’s Thunder Over Michigan Air Show.
The two people in the plane, whose identities were not released, were not seriously injured and were taken to a hospital as a precaution, the statement says. Reports say one person set down in a lake and another in a tree.
The plane crashed into the parking lot at the Waverly on the Lake Apartments in Belleville, Mich. There were no reported injuries, but several unoccupied cars were hit by the plane, the statement says. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash. No information has been released on a possible cause of the crash.
