In the more serious of the two fires, a man and a woman were found by firefighters in a home on Mount Evererest Lane after the fire broke out around 8:45 p.m., theBoth occupants were flown to the burn center at Cooper Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, officials said. Three firefighters and a police officer were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.said. Everyone inside escaped safely and the fire was extinguished without it spreading to neighboring homes despite windy conditions, officials said.The fire is unrelated to the one on Mount Everest Lane and is not considered suspicious, officials said.
The streets are in neighboring sections of Holiday City, a sprawling 55 and older series of communities in the township.
