There has been a record number of anti-Semitic attacks across the entire country
Almost 190 anti-Semitic hate incidents on Jewish people in Greater Manchester have been reported since the Hamas attack on Israel, according to a charity.
The charity said a record number of hate incidents on Jewish people have been recorded across the entire country, with at least 1,019 incidents since the Hamas attack. This is the highest ever total reported to CST across a 28-day period since the charity began recording in 1984. Jewish leaders in Greater Manchester have previously appealed for calm amid the continuing conflict and loss of life in the Middle East. Rabbi Arnie Saunders, a Conservative councillor for Kersal and Broughton Park on Salford Council, previously said the situation in the Middle East must not be allowed to 'spill over to the streets of Bury, Salford or anywhere in Greater Manchester'.
