Camillus Augustine Galvan faces multiple charges in connection with injuring a deputy in a vehicle pursuit.The sheriff's office says an 18-year-old swapped places with his younger passenger to avoid charges after crashing into a K-9 deputy vehicle last month.
When the 16-year-old passenger realized how he was manipulated, he told officers Camillus Augustine Galvan, 18, was the vehicle's driver, according to Sheriff Javier Salazar. Galvan was charged this week with aggravated assault on a public servant, evading arrest and failure to stop and render aid. He is being held on a $75,000 bail for the aggravated assault and $30,000 each for the remaining charges.300 shots were fired in an East Side homicide. A year later, police are asking for help.

Salazar said in a briefing that"the deputy sustained a pretty bad concussion and was knocked out cold." The deputy also sustained numerous other injuries, including two spikes embedded in his leg.The younger teen was the suspected driver of the vehicle. However, the teen now says Galvan convinced him to swap clothes, so the younger boy could take the blame for lesser charges.
