"This project represents a further £139.8m commitment from this Government which will contribute to our wider net zero objectives and will enable the introduction of electric services on the route from December 2025." East Kilbride-based MSP for Central Scotland Graham Simpson said he was "pleased" to hear the commitment from the Scottish Government to deliver these upgrades to the East Kilbride rail line.
