11 Nightcrawler Killed By Bastian During the X-Men: Second Coming crossover event, Nightcrawler went toe-to-toe with Bastian, a relatively unknown villain who is a human/sentinel hybrid with a plethora of powers including superhuman strength/speed, techno-organic body parts , and regenerative abilities, just to name a few. Basically, Bastian makes up for the fact that he isn’t super well-known by being incredibly powerful, and he used that power to kill Nightcrawler - well, sort of.
8 Multiple Man Killed By Terrigen Mist When the Terrigen Mist was unleashed all over the world by Black Bolt to unlock the latent powers in humans who didn’t know they had Inhuman DNA, no one knew that the mist was also a deadly poison to mutants. At least, not until Death of X #1 by Jeff Lemire, Charles Soule, and Aaron Kuder when Cyclops and some of the other X-Men members found Multiple Man dead, with only one of himself clinging to lifelong enough to tell Cyclops exactly what killed him.
