A 31 year old man from Stalybridge was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and money laundering
Police have seized 100 bottles of suspected liquid morphine and thousands of pounds after police stopped a car on the M61.
Officers from Lancashire Constabulary pulled over a Ford EcoSport in Chorley at around 11.15pm last night . The items were seized along with the driver's mobile phone. . He remains in custody for questioning.In a statement issued today, a Chorley Police spokesperson said: "A man’s been arrested after £3,500 in cash and 100 bottles of what's believed to be liquid morphine were found in a car in Chorley. Officers stopped a Ford EcoSport on the M61 at around 11.15pm last night .
"The items were seized along with the driver's mobile phone. A 31 year old man from Stalybridge in Greater Manchester is now in custody being questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and money laundering. "Operation Warrior is the Constabulary’s response to the Commissioner, Andrew Snowden's Police and Crime Plan priority of disrupting and dismantling organised crime. Op Warrior targets the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.
